UseAPI Search Launches a Clustering Search Engine with People Search Language for Query Refinement
CALGARY, Canada (PRWeb) December 20, 2006 -- UseAPI Search today announces the launch of a new search application, www.useAPI.com for Google users. Powered by Google, useAPI.com integrates the alternative search queries into its search results so that its users can be guided to search faster and easier, and get more relevant results.
These alternative search queries that people use daily to search online will be generated from Google dynamic database based on its user query, sorted by either search popularity or market value (advertiser competition) depending on the user intention. If the search results are not relevant, users can refine their search query by selecting any search term on the lists to make a new search. Thus, the users don't need to re-entry the keywords for each query refinement (search faster) and to come up with new word combination (search easier) each search refinement.
"When it comes to search online, we use people search language which is short and simple. We're rarely use artificial intelligence or natural language to seek information." said Anh Duong, president of useAPI Search. "Knowing that useAPI.com will provide us with a list of alternative search queries, we can now make a typical search query, two or three word long, with more confidence. This interactive search is so helpful and convenient to us so I think it does the same to our users".
Vocabulary use in people search language may change in future but now it is governed by power law with Zipf distributions. If a query is popular and of two or three word long, it produces a series of relevant keywords with a popular head and a long tail. The head contains several popular terms while the long tail consists of many longer phrases or more specific search queries. For example, video cameras query produces a list of over 100 relevant queries ranging from general terms such as video cameras, video digital cameras, video surveillance cameras in popular head to more specific terms such as disposable video cameras, compare digital video cameras, high definition video cameras in the long tail. If you're looking for a digital camera, one of these search queries either in popular head or long tail will fit your need.
UseApi.com is not only helpful and convenient to many normal search engine users but also to search engine marketers, optimizers, and site owners.
